The wide coamings create an additional seating level. With the available furling mainsail mast all sail handling can be managed from the security of the cockpit.

A large padded sundeck aft of the cockpit is a favorite lounging place underway or at anchor. Traditional seaworthy bulwarks on the side decks create a sense of security on deck seldom found on contemporary yachts. Modern features like the stern platform with port and starboard access stairs, an on deck hot and cold shower and the electric anchor windlass recessed in the foredeck have been designed into the Morgan 45 because they make sense and enhance life aboard.

The Morgan 45 interior is a skillful blending of traditional craftsmanship and materials, with contemporary space planning and interior design principles.

The result is both beautiful and livable; all areas have good natural lighting and ventilation. All the cabin ports are openable and are fitted with screens. The main cabin has large skylights overhead; the hull has fixed ports for added visibility.

The galley is extraordinary. Good light and ventilation create a pleasant work environment for the cook's domain. All the details that make the difference are included: a microwave oven, both top and front refrigerator access, Corian countertops, and well-planned storage top the list of features. Most important, the U-shaped galley is functional and secure underway at anchor the cooks are a part of the main cabin conversation yet not in the traffic flow.

The master cabin aft, is very comfortable and well ventilated. A dressing table and vanity with sink complement the accommodation.

The main cabin is elegantly detailed and finished with hand rubbed varnished teak bulkheads and cabinetry, a high gloss teak and holley cabin sole and satin finished ash batten hull ceiling.

The recessed lighting system is controlled by a remote dimmer. A selection of designer fabrics for berths and main cabin upholstery is available for your personal choice. A complete electronic entertainment center with remotely controlled speakers is built into every Morgan 45.

The quality hardware on deck and craftsmanship in the interior are only the most visible manifestation of Morgan's commitment to quality in the 45. Less obvious but even more important is the computer-engineered sub-sole, molded fiberglass structural systems for the mast step, hull reinforcement and tank support.

An inspection of the engine room will reveal mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems that are well conceived and carefully executed to facilitate access and maintenance - a feature often overlooked in other boats in her range, but important to the experienced owner.

Morgan Marine is committed to building a high-quality, well-designed cruising yacht that offers real value, with the support and resources of America's largest sailboat builder, Catalina Yachts, Morgan has realized this goal in the magnificent Morgan 45. One surprising feature of the Morgan 45 is the price which is competitive with ordinary boats.

Morgan is confident that a thorough inspection will develop an appreciation of Morgan quality and will encourage you to become a proud Morgan owner.
