The Prout name speaks for itself: Prout has been synonymous with excellence in yacht construction since its founding in 1954 by Roland and Francis Prout. In 50 years of production over 4,200 cruising catamarans have been built. Each hull and deck is constructed using the most technically advanced infusion techniques resulting in a boat with the highest strength to weight ratio.
Utilizing high-grade quad-axial E-glass fiber sandwiched around a structural foam core with elasticity, thickness, and density properties selected specifically for the different areas of the yacht, Prout infuses the entire hull, deck, furniture or bulkhead laminate in one piece using either epoxy or vinylester resins which have superior mechanical properties to the polyester resin that other builders use. The infusion process creates a structure which is both lighter and stronger than a traditional layup allowing the yacht to carry more while also increasing safety.
Prout’s total unsinkability and the incredible strength of Prout’s resin infusion process mean that a Prout can cruise in the most difficult seas with a greater degree of safety and comfort than any other vessel available.
