A well-appointed main salon provides a comfortable area for dining, relaxing and entertaining. The master stateroom is located forward and features a private head with stall shower and queen size island berth. The helm deck can be left open or easily shut off with a handsome canvas enclosure, thus providing comfortable all-weather cruising. Whatever the season, climb into a 49 Eastbay HX and enjoy the performance and luxury inherent in all Grand Banks yachts.

A simple description, but one perfectly geared to the sophisticated style and power of the Eastbay 49. Built by Grand Banks Yachts and designed in partnership with C. Raymond Hunt, this deep-V hull provides for superior performance, speed and safety. With twin 660 HP engines, owners can expect a cruising speed of 26 knots, up to a top speed of 30 knots. As one might expect, a quiet ride is also one of the benefits of an Eastbay fast cruiser no matter what the speed.

Owners also have the option of installing a canvas enclosure around the helm deck, a cold-weather design feature that helps prolong the cruising season.

Given its generous proportions, the Eastbay 49 offers more room than others in its class. A luxuriously appointed main salon provides a comfortable area for dining, relaxing and entertaining. The master stateroom is located all the way forward and features a private head with stall shower. The two-berth guest stateroom is located to port with a full-size head to starboard.

All interior packages and equipment can be customized, but each makes standard use of varnished, handcrafted teak. Engine room access is on the centerline and through a hydraulic lift settee in the cockpit.

Overall, each functional appointment makes cruising a breeze.

BRIDGE AREA

The Eastbay 49 features an outside living room concept that can be enclosed and air conditioned for maximum comfort. A large L-settee to port with teak table opposite a large comfortable straight settee to starboard. A bar and icemaker can be added. Forward of the settees are two large helmspersons seats.

HELM AREA

While the Eastbay 49 is designed with the living area extending to the flybridge, the helm area is still the focal point. Every effort has been made to increase the comfort of the helmsman and provide all necessary instrumentation within easy reach. Visibility was also an important factor in the development of this model.

AFTERDECK

With the large after deck, the living area can also extend outdoors with the addition of a couple of chairs. There is plenty of below deck storage for safety and mooring gear. The cockpit area is teak and holly sole for comfort and appearance.

MAIN SALOON

The main saloon of the Eastbay 49 features a comfortable U-shaped settee with thick high-density foam covered in Ultrasuede fabric. The focal point is the teak yacht table, a Grand Banks tradition, and chrome or brass reading lights. There is also shelf space behind the settee for books or personal effects.

GALLEY AREA

The Eastbay 49 features an efficient U-shaped galley with care-free Corian© countertops and a polished SS galley sink with single lever faucet. There are two refrigerator boxes and one top load freezer box along with cabinet space for dry good, china, and cookware. An opening portlight with screen provides plenty of natual lighting for the cook.

OWNER'S STATEROOM

The owner's stateroom boasts a large island berth - the most popular berth layout. It also includes two teak bureaus and a large hanging locker. There is plenty of walk around floor space. The private owner's head is equipped with a vacu-flush toilet system, vanity and sink and a separate shower stall with seating.

GUEST CABIN

The guest cabin is available in either a double or twin single arrangement. Either arrangement has a hanging locker and immediate access to a separate head with and vanity. As the rest of the yacht, the sole is teak and holly, the furniture has the signature Grand Banks craftsmanship and the cabin is well lit and warmly appointed as a welcome retreat for guests.

ENGINE ROOM ACCESS

Engine room access will be on the centerline and through a hydraulic lift settee in the cockpit. The access will allow easy step down access in between both engines, and remove the headache of navigating a steep ladder with tools in hand. The cockpit access will also allow the engines to be serviced while not disturbing activities on the helm deck area.

The Eastbay Series By Grand Banks

The Eastbay series of fast cruisers, designed by C. Raymond Hunt and Associates and built by Grand Banks Yachts, combines modern, high performance with classic good looks and world class craftsmanship. This popular line of swift, comfortably riding yachts starts with the 38 Express. With over 85 built in the first few years, the Eastbay 38 has proven to be particularly popular with experienced yachtsmen who appreciate the seaworthiness of its modified deep-V hull design.

While there have been a number of attempts to create similar boats, one quickly finds that there is no comparison between the Eastbay's pedigree, offshore performance and other look alike models. Indeed, the classic good looks of the 38 Express have started a resurgence of the handsome "downeast" styled boat. Thanks to the keen eyes of C. Raymond Hunt and Associates and the talented hands of the boat builders at Grand Banks, the boating world has been treated to a welcome change from all the predictable looking production boats seen on our waterways.

Featuring a second stateroom and enclosed main saloon, the EB43 is an ideal choice for the cruising family who wants a fast, comfortable boat with ample living space. The 43's hull was, of course, designed by C. Raymond Hunt, and the workmanship and woodwork is signature Grand Banks.

Now for the fortunate few there is the Eastbay 49 Hardtop Express, a magnificent interpretation of the successful Eastbay concept. Fast, seaworthy, luxurious and strikingly handsome are words that come easily when describing the Eastbay 49. Available as a hard-top express, the 49 is the epitome of quality, speed, and style. What started as a great idea with the Eastbay 38 Express, has evolved into a series of spectacular boats ranging from 38-49 feet offering a wide variety of interior accommodations plans, factory built options and above all, the legendary Grand Banks craftsmanship. See your Eastbay dealer and discover why the Eastbay series is an overnight success. "
