Built for offshore cruising, the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey line has long been the reference in versatility, quality of life on board and sailing performance. This reputation for excellence stems from three defining features of the range: comfort with timeless design, speed and ease of handling while underway and, above all, seaworthiness.
Interior volume and ergonomic design are the hallmarks of a Sun Odyssey. An atmosphere of easy living pervades due to ease of movement about the boat, ample storage, solid wood mouldings and the warm, bright tones of Alpi Teak® woodwork.
Able to easily maintain cruising speeds in any wind and sea conditions, a Sun Odyssey offers both enjoyable sailing and peace of mind for all on board. No need for a racing crew in order to get the best performance out of these stable, contemporary hull forms drawn by our naval architects.
Designed for everything from coastal anchorages to offshore passages, our sailboats offer exceptional comfort and handling. Key attributes of this wining formula include: a well-protected and secure cockpit, good ballast-to-weight ratios, a moderate beam and, of course, plenty of handholds down below and on deck.
Always at the forefront of naval architecture without giving in to passing trends, your Sun Odyssey is a sound investment in good value and a trove of priceless future memories.
Guiding concepts in the drafting of the Sun Odyssey 469 were ergonomic design, personalization, interior volume and attention to detail.
The Sun Odyssey 469, benefits from the latest innovations and inherits the finest traits of this iconic line. Whatever your destination may be, she will deliver moments of unforgettable cruising.
Bathed in light, the interior affords the volume and comfort typically found on a 50-foot sailboat. Aboard the Sun Odyssey 469, you will find many principal attributes of her inspiration and “big sister” model, the 509.
More than ever before, technology has become inseparable from boatbuilding. From conception to construction, technology allows us to create boats that are more beautiful, stronger and better built. For these reasons, Jeanneau invests heavily in new technological processes.
The decks of our new boats are injection moulded using the Prisma Process®. Our traditional woodwork is varnished, adjusted and cut by robotic varnishing and CNC machines. 5-axis robotic drilling and cutting of decks ensures exact finish and precise installation of hardware.
These new investments are in line with our values. Our technology does not replace the artistic human dimension, but rather serves as a powerful tool. Today, as in the past, craftsmanship takes centre stage in the building of a Jeanneau.
Our factories are certified ISO 9001 for the quality of conception and construction. Finally, the environment is always on our mind. Because of this we have attained ISO 1400
Now, docking is child's play!
The concept is simple: the engine is coupled with a pivoting sail drive, capable of rotating 360°. The joystick transmits the commands to a control box, which uses the autopilot to lock the helm. Then, a simple movement of the joystick controls the orientation and the thrust of the pod, as well as the bow thruster. No matter its size or weight, the boat will obey your every command.
