25' RANGER TUGS R-25SC (2016)
Update 2/13/2020: The boat was surveyed and sea trialed. This was the first survey/trial. Many prospective clients who previously saw the boat in person assumed she was too small to be seaworthy and stable. The sea trial proved otherwise. We were in about 4 foot chop from a storm that had just gone through, and the boat plowed right through it in a very tugboat-esque fashion. Quite confidence inspiring. Then we goosed the throttle and she went up on plane, skimming across the water right over the chop, at about 20 knots. Ocean spray, wipers going, very fun. About the most fun I have had on a powerboat ever, even more so than giant cruisers and express boats with their big motors and luxury accommodations, if for only just the motoring through the ocean part. Very intimate with the sea, yet stable and powerful. Loved it.
The survey turned up inop bow and stern thrusters. Probably from sitting or a ground wire issue due to some water in the bilge. Also some other minor issues from sitting in her slip. Owner is ordering the appropriate services.
The bottom looks like it was painted last week, even though the paint is original from date of delivery Jan 2017. Very clean.
Please note that there is a long scratch in the gelcoat on the starboard aft hullside from contact with a dock.
...end of update.
