Nancy Reymann was not born into boating. Truth be known, until eight years ago when she and her husband, Pat, bought their first'a 17-foot center console the Reymanns didn't know their aft from their elbow. But there was something enticing about Lake Erie's Catawba Island Club - about 90 minutes from their home in Akron, Ohio. The club is comfortable and elegant. It offers the Great Lakes, golf, sunshine, scenery, and the promise of adventure and total relaxation. The Reymanns became social members in 1990, and began dreaming seriously about getting out on the water and enjoying the lake as participants, not just observers. Nancy Reymann, especially, was eager to learn. Not only did she participate with her husband and two sons, Adam and Blake, in their newfound recreation, she immersed herself.
