37' NORDIC TUG 37 (2004)

This latest addition to the Nordic Tug fleet has all of the same qualities upon which Nordic Tugs has built its reputation: safety, reliability, and comfort, all wrapped up in traditional tug boat styling. In an expanded facility in Burlington, Washington, Nordic Tugs is well under way with the production of this very popular new model. For 2003 the 37 is available in two configurations, the standard layout that has become so popular and a new convertible layout. Customers now  have an option for a boat with accommodations similar to that of the 42 in a smaller, easier to handle and more economical package. Designed by Lynn Senour, the originator of the Nordic Tug design, the 37 shares many of the features found in her larger and smaller siblings such as a hand-laid fiberglass hull with hard chine and full keel as well as the same attributes of speed and seakeeping qualities.  The waterline length of the 37 is actually 39 feet due to a molded-in swim step that is essentially an extension of the hull giving her greater speed, stability and fuel economy.

More info

Like all Nordic Tugs, the 37 features a ship-style pilothouse with full 360-degree views, chart table with drawer and twin pilothouse seats, as well as direct access to the decks from both sides. The helm station features a recessed instrument panel which eliminates glare and positions instruments for easy viewing and operation.

The master stateroom features a queen-size bed with generous storage.

The Incredible Hull

Nordic Tugs has spent decades refining a semi-displacement hull that is fast and fuel efficient- resulting in an incredible hull that provides a quiet, comfortable ride. With a single diesel engine, Nordic Tugs gives you the fuel economy of a displacement hull, with speeds far greater than a displacement hull can achieve.

  • A fine entry bow provides a quiet, dry ride in adverse weather conditions
  • The Nordic Tugs full keel improves tracking and reduces drift when maneuvering
  • Hard chines reduce roll, increase efficiency and add to the inherently stable ride
  • The molded mid guard adds strength to an already solid hull
  • An extended hull/boarding platform allows easy transom access and extends the waterline length for better performance.
  • A flared hull keeps the boat dry.
  • Heavy-duty stainless steel shoe protects the propeller and rudder.
  • A round-reverse transom adds strength and helps shed water in a heavy following sea.

The thoughtfully designed and well-appointed interior, combined with her legendary stability and handling, have made the Nordic Tug 37 the most popular model in the Nordic Tugs fleet. The Nordic Tug 37 is available in two configurations: either a double cabin or a convertible layout, which features a main berth and allows the client to configure the port convertible area into either a laundry room or navigation station. Powered by a single Cummins diesel engine, the Nordic Tug 37 offers the fuel economy of a displacement hull, yet can comfortably cruise into the high teens.

Generous teak cabinetry and optional teak-and-holly floor add warmth and richness to an interior that is large for a vessel of her size. The layout enables guests to visit in an open, comfortable environment and provides easy access to all parts of the boat for skipper and crew. Standard features include a 6ft convertible settee, teak table, Corian countertops and sink with undercounter AC/DC refrigerator and freezer.
