*EXTENDED HARDTOP VERSION* The Sabreline 36 Sedan is built on the proven hull of our 36 foot MKII Express, which was introduced in 1998. Having an 18 degree deadrise angle at the transom, wide chines and spray rails, the 36 Sedan gets up on plane easily and offers one of the driest, most comfortable rides to be found in this size and type of motoryacht.

Traditional, high quality construction from Sabre Yachts insures that this rugged design will retain it’s value well into the future. In fact Sabre resale values are amongst the highest in the boating industry, keeping down your cost of ownership.

The Sabreline range of powerboats was created in 1989 when Sabre Yachts, up to then a builder of sailboats, introduced a 36 foot Fast Trawler with a modified deep-vee hull. Agrowing demand for increased top end speeds have led our original designs to be replaced with deepvee hulls, capable of 25 knot cruise and 30 knot top end speeds.

Sabre 36 Flybridge for sale

Legacy 36 Flybridge Extended Hardtop

Sabre Yacht’s quality and attention to detail is legendary. Aboard the Sabreline 36 Sedan you will see many examples of the craftsmanship which has become a Sabre hallmark. Dovetailed drawer boxes, laminated wood fiddles on horizontal surfaces and beautiful woods chosen for their match and grain.

In this spacious salon, surrounded by large windows, there is a sense of luxury. Beautifully finished wood working details, comfortable seating surfaces and most of all, a sense of comfort and well being that only time honored traditional craftsmanship can create the sense of space created by these large opening windows is something which gives the impression that this boat is considerably larger than a 36 footer.

Aft and to port is a comfortable L-shaped settee with a hi-lo table, adjustable to coffee table or dining table height. Opposite, to starboard, is the entertainment center to which a helm seat is attached for use when the lower helm is in use.

To port and above the galley is a cabinet for glassware and bottle storage. The cabinet top can be used for laying out paper charts or as a serving table for meals or refreshments. Recessed overhead lighting is halogen, and accent lighting is provided in the valance boxes.

Sight lines from the lower helm are excellent, providing a comfortable steering station when the weather is too hot, too cold or too wet to be on the command bridge. Full controls and space are provided for all the yacht’s systems and navigational electronics.

Legacy 36 Sedan Interior Salon

The stateroom of the Sabreline 36 sedan is available with either a pedestal berth, as shown above, or with an optional veeberth. Either version offers very comfortable and spacious sleeping accommodations.

Hull sides are lined with ash hull ceilings. This wood treatment is not only beautiful, but also has a function. Hull ceilings are resined out on their exterior side and set off from the hull side with spacers keeping the cool and damp of outside air away from the cabin’s interior.

Along the shelves above the berth are storage lockers with tambour sliders. A tall cedar-lined hanging locker with louvered door is located aft and to port. The berth itself also houses a set of large drawers. Overhead is an opening hatch with screen to allow the breeze to enter on warm summer nights. On the side of the house are two stainless steel opening ports for additional ventilation when required.

The head, molded in bright white gelcoat, has a modern, contemporary feel. A Corian counter tops the vanity and spacious storage can be found outboard of the sink. The fiberglass pan construction makes cleaning an easy task. Aft of the head is the separate stall shower, with revolving shower door allowing the largest possible space.

A convenient seat is also provided. Outboard of the shower stall is a wet locker for hanging wet clothing or foul weather gear. This double entry head can be accessed from both the master stateroom or from the passageway, allowing privacy for you and your guests.

The galley of the 36 Sedan is equipped for long voyages. An under-counter refrigerator, a convection microwave oven, a ceramic cook top and a double stainless steel sink with single lever mixing faucet, provide all the tools required for creating great meals on board. Storage is plentiful under the counter, in the louvered door storage cabinets outboard of the sink and in forward facing cabinets beside the microwave oven.

The galley down configuration is well lit, spacious and benefits from the daylight coming from overhead through the windows of the salon. And the cook, crew and guests can easily maintain visual contact.

The cockpit of the Sabreline 36 Sedan is designed for relaxation and for socializing with family or friends. A cockpit swing door opens to the swim platform for access to dinghy or the stainless steel, telescoping swim ladder.

Three large lazarette hatches with gas struts open to expose large storage spaces below the cockpit for lines, fenders etc. And when the sun goes down, there is accent lighting below the coaming and an overhead light above the cockpit wet bar with stainless steel sink.

Cockpit coamings are available in teak or in fiberglass at the owner’s choice. On deck, you will find that safety and security was the primary concern of every design decision. Steps to the side decks are recessed so as not to steal valuable cockpit sole space.

Side decks are also recessed and large diameter hand rails in 316 stainless steel, offer a safe and easy passage from cockpit to foredeck. And at the bow there is a platform for an optional anchor windlass and large lockers for storage of mooring lines and fenders.

The stairs to the command bridge are recessed into the back of the salon bulkhead and gently sloped so as to be comfortable to climb or descend facing forward.

Sight lines are excellent and seating comfort has been maximized with fully adjustable helm seats for captain and mate. The helmsman has a comfortable foot well and ample spaces for electronics. Everything has been thought out for easy and safe operation of the yacht. Forward of the mate’s chair is a space for a chart kit with clear cover, and aft of the helm seat a double seat for guests or family.

Sabre Yachts has been crafting sail and motor yachts in Southern Maine since 1970. Sabre offers three sailboat models and six Sabreline powerboat models. Sabre yachts are sold worldwide, through a network of competent, professional dealers who are chosen for their reputation, location, and visibility within a local market, as well as for the quality of their sales and after sales service.

In 1989 Sabre sought to broaden its market beyond the sailboat segment and created the Sabreline range of motoryachts which now includes models from 34 to 47 feet. Today’s Sabreline motoryachts are built on deep-vee hulls which are capable of cruise speeds of 25 knots and top end speeds, with optional power, of 30 knots. Boatbuilding is a long standing tradition in Maine.

The Sabre work force consists of men and women who take tremendous pride in their work and are sensitive to the marine tradition of the State - hence the company’s motto, "Crafted in the Maine Tradition". Most of our Associates are capable of working in all the different phases of boatbuilding, and have a full understanding of the influence that their job has on the quality of the final product. Nearly one third of Sabre's associates have been with the Company for over a decade, and many have celebrated their second decade with the company.
