Introducing the Legacy 32.

This is a modified deep-vee, full planing hull. Designed with wide chine flats, Legacy lifts onto plane at just 12 knots. Because of the boat’s relatively flat aft section good visibility from the helm is maintained throughout acceleration. On plane you’ll note great tracking and stability at all operating speeds. You’ll also note the peace and quiet: just 77 decibels at cruise. To complete the most comfortable ride ever we exited the exhaust underwater to eliminate diesel fumes underway.

At the core of this and every Legacy is the strongest, most resilient laminate available today: Corecell foam coring, vinylester resin and directional fiberglass.

Corecell gives the 32 stiffness and strength. With its greater resistance to shear strain, Corecell is three times tougher than the more brittle PVC foams. Its closed cell structure is completely resistant to water intrusion and deterioration. Vinylester resin is used for total resistance to blistering. Load-bearing directional S-glass and the infusion molding process complete the laminate. Infusion molding allows a very thorough wetting out of the laminate with the resin to affect a uniform bond and great strength, without the excess weight that makes other hulls slower and less fuel efficient. The result is a laminate that is uniform throughout with an extraordinary strength-to-weight ratio and lasting durability.

An engine room is a funny place to start a tour of a boat, but one look inside the engine room of the Legacy 32 and you’ll understand a lot about how Freedom Yachts conceived and built this next generation Legacy. Every fitting, every system, every installation is well thought out and carefully executed with the best equipment available. There are little things, like Deutsch connectors to make waterproof, seamless connections and a safer, more reliable electrical system. And there are big things, like a stainless steel seachest- a single provider for all the boat’s raw-water requirements with dual intakes to replace the individual ones for each system in the boat.

You asked for RELIABILITY ... the Legacy 32 delivers.

• From the batteries to the panel the entire electrical system is the ultimate in dependability. And convenience. Flip a single breaker and all the yacht’s systems and lights turn on as they would at home.
• A dual-inlet seachest cuts the possibility of clog-related shut-downs in half.
• Mepla plumbing throughout the pressure water system means no leaks in your fresh water system. All the aluminum plumbing is double sleeved—inside and out—and backed with its own 5-year leak-proof warranty.
• The optional generator is a 5.5 kw Onan with a dedicated start battery for added security.
• The windshield wipers are top of the line, 18 inch Exalto with freshwater wash, autopark and variable speed.
• Structural bulkheads are cored composite for total rot resistance.
• Bilge pumps are computerized and run only when necessary to prevent pump burn out.
• There is a high capacity freshwater pump, an additional high-water bilge pump, a sight gage on the fuel tank, all in the interest of keeping your boat safe and trouble-free.
• An isolation transformer accepts, cleans and outputs 240 volt AC providing the boat’s power while protecting all systems from shore supply, as well as providing galvanic isolation.

After a Great Day on the Water, Room to Relax.

Look inside the Legacy 32 to discover a very hospitable interior beginning with a bridgedeck that’s just waiting to host friends and family with two long settees and room to spare. The helm and co-pilot seats are cleverly configured so that they lift up out of the settee and the forward arm of the settee forms a backrest when driving, the seat lowers to finish off the settee at anchor or at the dock. Should you want to accommodate friends or family for an overnight, break out the optional Textilene privacy shades and this bridgedeck is just right for sleeping.

Below, there’s a generous berth with full height hanging and stowage lockers and a shelf that runs the length of the berth. The head features a separate stall shower.

The galley has the look and feel of a custom kitchen: home-grade appliances including a stainless steel refrigerator drawer, built in coffeemaker, electric ceran stove top and solid surface counters. The island slides open for maximum storage on two levels of shelving.

The interior décor package wraps the interior in rich cherry cabinetry, a teak sole, soft headliner and your choice of several counter colors. Light and air pour in through six opening ports and three hatches.

Great Features Make Life Aboard So Inviting.

• For the helmsman there is a truly convenient tilting steering wheel to make your driving position more comfortable, side windows slide open and the center windshield opens for great ventilation.
• Hatches are stainless steel for a good look to match the ports. Skyscreens (screen and shade) are built in.
• The 32 has a built in refrigerator drawer, a great looking stainless steel unit that is surprisingly roomy and there is a stainless steel built in coffeemaker, plumbed in, too!
• Nothing beats the ease and convenience of a disappearing companionway lid. We’ve drawn on our sailboat history to make a companionway topper that slides into the deckhouse.
• To keep the peace the majority of the boat’s machinery is located on a floating bulkhead which is insulated from the main bulkhead to reduce the transmission of noise and vibration. This is the quietest 32 around.
• Wide sidedecks and a tall, stainless bow rail give a feeling of security going forward.
