The Good Life Gets Better

Living well is standard fare aboard every Viking Sport Cruiser and the new 61 Motor Yacht reinforces our commitment to this philosophy. The saloon is a sprawling affair of cherry joinery in a choice of deep classic or natural shades with our signature inlaid marquetry and quartered grain panels. Rich details are abundant throughout the yacht. Plush designer fabrics and inviting furnishings are set among three distinct gathering areas on the main deck. A U-shaped lounge to starboard accommodates six in stylish fashion and wraps around the hand-finished cherry-wood table to create a relaxed entertaining area. Opposite, a cocktail cabinet and an entertainment system flank the inviting settee.

Two steps down from the saloon level and abaft the principal helm station, the full-featured galley is complete from its teak and holly sole to its complement of world-class appliances, including a dishwasher and disposal. The functional U-shaped Avonite countertop is both efficient and practical for preparing meals at the dock and underway. A commodious utility room off the galley conceals a washer/dryer and a large freezer, along with considerable stowage for supplies and additional equipment.

Room With a View
As you would expect from Viking Sport Cruisers, the principal helm provides outstanding visibility and comfort for the helmsman and a companion in adjustable seating with built-in stowage. Navigation and communication electronics stow neatly in the burr-elm instrument panel accented with full engine instrumentation. Single-lever engine controls feature a built-in synchronizer and the large stainless-steel-frame windshield is equipped with powerful wipers and washers for a clear view in all sea conditions. A sliding door framed in polished stainless steel gives swift access to the starboard sidedeck.

Thanks to the large windshield and side windows, guests seated at the roomy dinette to port will enjoy wonderful views with their meals, as well as, conversation with the helmsman while underway.

The three-stateroom, three-head layout accentuates spaciousness and privacy. The master stateroom is amidships and features the convenience and comfort of a walkaround berth with twin night stands, an abundance of stowage areas, a dressing table, entertainment system and ensuite head with a stall shower. Forward, the VIP stateroom is a royal suite with a private entrance to the head and stall shower. The port guest cabin is equipped with side-by-side berths, a reading table, large hanging locker and a private head with stall shower. Each head is accented with Avonite countertops and teak and holly soles.

Topside, the 61 Motor Yacht radiates a host of big yacht features, including an electrically operated aft window on the rear bulkhead. The teak-planked cockpit features concealed deck hardware and electric windlasses, convenient access to the swimming platform through a wide transom door, a hot and cold shower, stowage lockers and upholstered seating. The electro-hydraulic passerelle has tender lift capability. Available crew quarters, engine room and lazarette access are though the cockpit.

Molded steps lead forward to wide sidedecks ensconced with sturdy #316 stainless-steel railing for safe passage to the bow. Tall bulwarks add both style and security when handling lines or rinsing the anchor chain.

The curvaceous flybridge, reached from a circular staircase in the saloon-, or an exterior stairwell in the cockpit, is designed for cruising, entertaining and thorough relaxation.
